Year 3 Project – Week 3

Last week, I presented a basic outline of what the in-game menu might look like, as well as mockups of the environment and gameplay. This week, I have started to work on that menu, and the scripting required, in order to test the functionality.

Not only does an early development of simple things like the menu get them out of the way faster, it also gives me the ability to add more features as the rest of the game develops.

However, at the moment all the buttons on the menu lead to empty placeholders, save for the quit button, but they do not need to link to anything yet, as this cone be done when more of the mechanics have been completed.
