This week, we made more progress on the VR integration for the project. However, instead of using the system native to the Oculus, we have instead had to find an alternative.
This alternative is the software that controls the HTC Vive – SteamVR. SteamVR has legacy drivers allowing the Rift DK2, which is the headset we will be using, to work in the SteamVR environment. This will allow us to bypass any problems relating to Oculus software being unsupported by the most recent versions of Unity.
On top of this, Noe has also started to work on the ‘glitches’ the game will have, based on a plan that Elizabeth made. However, we are still debugging the bugs.
